Sterilization

We at Malhan Dental Clinic follow all the sterilization procedures needed for infection control to prevent the transmission of AIDS virus and other infectious diseases. Needless to say that the disposables like needles, syringes, glasses, patient’s drapes are all for one time usage and are the discarded. For the non-disposable instruments we follow the following sterilization protocol

(1). All the instruments are scrubbed thoroughly with spirit swabs to remove any attached debris.

(2). The instruments are then immersed in 5% korsolex sterilizing solution for 45 minutes for standard disinfection.

(3). The cold sterile instrument are then packed in individualized sterile packs, the standardized sterilization method used in our dental offer is autoclaving (steam under pressure) these measures are carried out rigorously and consistently and demonstrate our commitment to your safety.

(4). Dental instrument in sterile packs are stored in U.V. Chamber to maintain the sterilization which are opened in front of the patient.
